“This is an outstanding result for a small provider and all staff need to be congratulated not only on their performance on the days of the audit but for the significant way in which they have contributed.”
During the audit, aged care consumers and their representatives were asked a series of core questions related to staff. The responses were positive, noting that staff always treated Tuia Lodge residents with respect, made them feel safe and gave them the care they needed. The complete Tuia Lodge Consumer Experience Report is available for viewing on the Commission’s website.
Earlier this year Tuia Lodge received $1.52 million in Federal funding for the construction of 10 new dementia units and one palliative care unit. The expansion is due for completion in March 2021.
